What is a Quota? Quota is an approval granted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Who needs a quota? A quota is prepared for an expatriate coming into the country to take an employment for either short or long term.

What are the requirements?

Memo and Article of association

Certificate of incorporation

Form C02, Form C06, Form C07

Evidence of training and capital impartation

Bank reference

Tax clearance

Feasibility studies

Form T1 What is the Validity of a quota

It is valid for an initial period of two (2) years and is renewable for a maximum period of Ten (10) years for permanent expatriate.

TYPES OF VISAS

STR Visa: It is a pre-requisite visa for a resident permit

TWP (Temporary work permit): It is given to expatriate coming to take temporary employment. It is approved for a period not exceeding 60 days or 2 months.

Tourist Visa: It is issued to foreigners on casual or tourist visit.

Business Visa: This is issued to foreigners coming in for business consultative meetings like board meetings, job interviews and negotiations etc.

Diplomatic Visa: Issued only to diplomats

Transit Visa: Issued to foreigners across Nigeria.
